Pinhole Photography

Self Portrait

Hello! And welcome to my notable pinhole photos. First up, we have one of the self portraits I made. This one was underexposed however I enjoy the contrast of the darkness surrounding it. It as well shows a shadow of a tree i was crouching behind to be seen, which i find to be a very interesting effect. To the side and above you can see a peak of the wall and light above, areas either being hit with sunlight or producing their own light.

Below, the scanned negative. When I first began developing I was quick to write it off as a failed trial as I thought it was merely meaningless shapes that I must have picked up.

More than I - Where My Eyes Cannot See

My second pinhole camera has an interesting reflective interior and two pinholes, directly parallel to each other. I positioned the camera in front of a window, half looking outside and the other towards the hall inside. I left it for around 35 minutes. It has a bit in focus, and another blurry and almost dirty, as the window was. The lights of the hallway and some reflections from the window can be seen as well as other small reflections creating a smudged effect.

Ghost Stories - Self Portrait

This photo was an error that I ended up enjoying, I accidentally moved and it created this almost out-of-body effect. I also forgot to move my phone, which prior, I was using to figure out the angle to line up my shirt, which, also didn't work. So much didn't quite work, however I still enjoy it.

and below once again, the negative

Fidgeting Time - Duration

This one is my personal favourite. I set up my camera in the hallway and began a timer for 45 minutes.  With a lamp beside me, I sat, and I drew. I pulled out my sketchbook and just started drawing, not thinking about what I was doing with my body. Letting myself fidget and adjust as I worked. The hallway is in perfect stillness, while I am nothing but a blurry shadow.

And for a final time, the negative below
